The Malaysia | Kuala Lumpur Off Road Driving Centre is the biggest, best and most challenging 4 x 4 offroad driving course in Malaysia. Our off-road driving range in few selected site has a wide variety of natural and man made obstacles designed to offer challenges for every 4x4 and All Terrain Vehicle user from the complete novice to the hardened professional.

We specialise in off road driving and pride ourselves on having a "real" 4x4 challenge on our hill, it is great fun and requires a fair amount of driver skill. We believe in making the journey on road and off road as an unforgettable experience for our guest. We can pick up guest from home, hotel, depart straight onto the designated site in a vehicle where you will be given a brief five minute of safety. Demonstration on the basic driving techniques, river crossing, rock climbing, Mud crossing. The driver will start you off with a few manoeuvres to build up your enjoyment and experience. You will slowly get adjusted to those rocking, bumpy vehicle handling

The Scottish Off Road Driving Centre

Our half and one day professional off road driving courses are the British Off Road Driving Association's training to "Basic" and "Standard" Certification, which are the most widely recognised standards for industrial users of 4x4 vehicles under average Tropical Jungle in Malaysia conditions. They can only be delivered by a SKMM Specialist Trainer and they are the minimum recommended standards approved by the SPAD for driving light 4x4 vehicles in the Malaysia. They assume that the trainee has sound road driving competence with a full driving licence and that the trainee will attend with the vehicle (or similar) that they will be using off road.

On completion of the course to a competent level the trainee will receive a copy of their Assessment Result Worksheet and a BORDA Certificate will be applied for. We can also offer training at your own site.

1 DAY PROFESSIONAL 
4X4 OFF ROAD DRIVING COURSES

Basic:

The course is designed to give a basic safety awareness of the potential risks involved when using a 4x4 for driving off road, with the trainees expected to be using only firm ground with gentle slopes (for example urban building sites, school playing fields, airport maintenance etc). The course is based on two trainees per instructor and lasts for half a day, starting at 9.30am and finishing at 12.30pm. A certificate is issued with a driver report for the employer.

Agenda:

09:30 Introduction: covering Operator Safety and Environment, vehicle controls, specialist controls, transmission and braking, vehicle checks.
10:00 Driving: starting and moving off, stopping and emergency stop, gentle ascents and descents, observation and risk assessment.
12:00 Debriefing and assessment results.
12:30 Finish

Standard:

The course is designed to give a comprehensive safety awareness of the potential risks when using a 4x4 for driving off road with the trainee expected to be using potentially slippery ground with moderate slopes (for example Open Cast Mines, Wind Farm sites, Telephone Masts servicing, Tree Surgery Contractors etc). The Standard course is the minimum recommended level for industrial 4x4 use and lasts a full day, starting at 9.30 am and finishing at 4pm. This course is based on two trainees per instructor, a certificate and driver report are issued on completion.

Agenda: 

09:30   Introduction: covering Operator Safety and Environment, vehicle 

            controls, specialist controls, transmission and braking, vehicle checks.

10:00   Driving: starting and moving off, stopping and emergency stop, gentle              ascents and descents, observation and risk assessment.
12:00    Lunch Break: trainees should bring some sandwiches and a soft                        drink; coffee/tea is available at reception.

13:00   Driving Ascents: risk assessment of ascents, stall recovery, loss of                   traction recovery.
14:00   Driving Descents: risk assessment of descents, traction control,                       braking, loss of control.
15:00   Driving: ditches and ridges, ruts and mud, sideslopes, returning to the             road.
16:00   Debriefing and assessment results.

4X4 OFF ROAD ADVENTURE BIG VEHICLE 
MOUNTED WINCH COURSE

This is a one day course covering the basic operation of a vehicle mounted winch and assumes the trainee has driver competence to BORDA Standard level. The trainee must attend with the vehicle and winch they are using. Aspects covered are; operator safety, identifying equipment and ratings, understanding controls, loadings and anchor points, straight recovery, angled recovery, recovering other vehicles and objects, de-rigging safely. BORDA Certificate and driver report issued on completion.

SKMM "STANDARD" 
ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE (ATV) and 
QUAD BIKE TRAINING

SKMM "Standard" ATV and Quad Bike course is designed for operators working under standard UK daylight conditions with gradients up to 30 degrees. The course is a one day course starting with an introduction to the trainee's vehicle and controls, then moving onto driving covering stability, ascents and descents, sideslopes, ditches and ridges, water, and the Emergency Stop. A SKMM Certificate and Driver report issued on completion.

4x4 OFF ROAD ADVENTURE - RECREATIONAL
DRIVER TRAINING at 
The MALAYSIA OFF ROAD DRIVING RANCH

You drive our specially prepared 4x4 - or you can bring your own - over really wild country with an instructor. When you arrive we start driving immediately. We'll give a short 5 minute instructor safety demonstration in the vehicle, after the demo you will do all the driving. You'll drive for the full time given, enjoying exclusive use of the vehicle and you can bring up to 3 guests free of charge.

We keep our tutored sessions safe and simple to start with, gradually building up the tempo as the trainees skill and ability allows to take on our most challenging obstacles. A Certificate and car sticker are presented at the end of each session as a memento of your day out, and proof that you've achieved it! All our sessions allow you to bring along a couple of friends to enjoy the driving and we are very happy to teach up to three people per vehicle.

4X4 OFF ROAD ADVENTURE
EXTREME MUDDY DRIVER – HULU TAMU

Our 5 hour "Extreme Muddy" 4x4 session includes very deep water, glutinous mud, mad hill climbs and heart stopping descents. This session gives you a brilliant and thoroughly comprehensive extreme offroad experience, it's great fun and as the tempo builds we will keep asking for more of your driving skills. We stop for five minutes halfway through the session for a free refreshments break and admire the outstanding views.

4X4 OFF ROAD OWNER 
LEARNING OFF ROAD PROGRAM

This three hour session is aimed at the 4x4 owner who wants to learn how to get the very best out of their own vehicle offroad. We start with a guide to the vehicle and its controls followed by a thorough explanation of how the four wheel drive system works, which lasts for around 20 minutes. Then it's off for 2+ hours of practical off road driving on our novice areas followed by some exciting and safe fun on the purpose built obstacles. Owners can bring 3 guests in the vehicle (we have to squeeze the instructor in!) + certificate and car sticker are presented.

4X4 OFF ROAD ADVENTURE
GROUP DRIVING EVENT

For our all action Off Road Driving Events with groups and larger numbers of people we generally allocate three guests to each of our Multi Label 4x4 Off Road Worthy 4x4 Vehicle with an driver cum instructor. The instructor will give a short demo drive at the start of the driving period after which the guests take over the driving.

We will gradually build up the tempo in the vehicle as each guest has their first drive and after some confidence building obstacles guests will progress to our really "Mad and Manic" areas. It is great fun and a really extreme high adrenalin adventure!

Guests will swap over the driving roughly every 20 minutes giving each person in the vehicle at least three sessions behind the wheel. It's a lot of fun seeing your associates struggle to cope with the driving terrain and there is always a good bet on who will get stuck!

We can take up to 50 guests in a group, all in vehicles at the same time. At the end of the day a certificate can be arranged presented to each driver to commemorate the experience and also a car sticker to say they have been "Mad and Manic"! We can also arrange other group activities on site during the day.

4X4 OFF ROAD ADVENTURE
THE HALF DAY EVENT

A three hour Xtreme Muddy Experience, the drive lasts for three hours with a short ten minute refreshment break in the middle. During the drive guests will attempt steep hills, ditches and ridges, water hazards, log bridges, simulated river beds and our swamp area with it's bottomless mud. The drive time is full of action and will challenge the very best of drivers.

The half day is really good for team events and team bonding, everyone gets involved and is challenged by the skills required while the chat in the vehicle can greatly help build relationships.

The cost is based on the hire of the vehicle which is charged at PER PERSON or PER CAR basis for the three to 5 hour experience. Allowing three people per vehicle it is easy to cost out your event depending on your numbers.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
AVAILABILITY

We often arrange extra activities for visiting groups on demand and we have managed lots of large mixed activity events since we started sixteen years ago. We have two separate grassland areas to run the activities on and our mixed activity days have always proved to be very exhilarating and a huge amount of fun. The largest number we have catered for is 93 guests and the smallest group size we will cater for is 12 guests for a mixed activity event.

We have lots of space on the site for large marquees and catering to be located to host our guests within and we have masses of parking for coaches or corporate displays. Our most recent large event was for Nissan as pictured below.

For the casual driver, the dry months between March and October are best, but the determined driver will welcome the extra challenges brought by monsoon rains between November and February.

Some of the best off road driving in Peninsular Malaysia can be found in the remoter regions. A premier site is Gua Musang in Kelantan, which is connected by hundreds of kilometers of logging tracks to Cameron Highlands in Pahang and Lasah in Perak. The Kenyir Lake area in Terengganu, and Endau-Rompin, Chini Lake and Sg. Lembing in Pahang are also popular off road routes. But there are also good off road driving sites near major cities. Kuala Kubu Bahru, just two hours' drive from Kuala Lumpur, offers mild to moderate off road routes in a delightful rural setting.

4X4 Training

The program is designed to prepare and train a novice to handle a 4WD vehicle in harsh off-road terrain safely & confidently (rated as medium), to explore the vehicle's off-roading capability & to learn about the function of related equipments including recovery techniques & winching. The various skills learned will be applied during the actual Expedition Trip, with a medium difficulty level, subscribing to the “learn - apply - assimilate” process.

The journey is through one of the oldest rainforest on planet Earth, where “mother-nature” is the classroom for the life-transforming lessons to be learned.

Happy New Year 2015 ! Really ?

While the rest of the world are shedding their good and bads in year 2014 to usher a brand new 2015, we Malaysia was thinking that after Malaysia hit by the loss of MH 370 and MH 17, celebrating Christmas and New year in a somber mood, but we we again being shock by

the loss of Air Asia QZ 8501 on the Eve of Christmas. While this are the major new in the world, we Malaysian could not do much but to mourn and convey our heartfelt condolences to the victim family, RIP, be strong, life have to goes on.  

Meantime there was a silence sufferer within Malaysia, Malaysia East Coast State, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, West Coast Perak in Lenggong, Johore State since December 14 when the Eastern Wind brought in much rainfalls into Peninsula Malaysia.

The biggest hit area are in Kelantan, Kuala Krai, Kemubu, Gua Musang, Pahang Jerantut, Temerloh.

There are many reasons on why the worst flooding in record are happening now, wiping out the whole village, villager recall that the water level rising so fast that they could not take any belonging but to run for their life in the middle of the night. Some truth that over logging, over development causes water catchment traditionally naturally done by Gods given Jungle are damage, destroyed for monetary gain. Then Southern Thailand who have dam release water, Kelantan Pergau Dam, Kenyir Dam, all release water as they are overflow endangering the embankment. Houses are destroy, washed out, bridges damage and collapse, human, Malaysian now suffers.

We Malaysian are not selfish people, without seeing colors, races (except corrupted politician) rush to the rescue by supplying food stuff, Cooking Utensils, Cloths, some cash to those affected. We do best to do our part even though how small an effort, hopeful this will

give them some comfort and support, Malaysian do care for Malaysian.

There are many NGO, Private Sector that have initiated own effort to help.

On 28 Dec 2014 Sunday we were summons by Jerantut Dialysis Center

for help to evacuate 16 dialysis Patient to Kuala Lumpur as their Center

experienced irregular electricity supply, no water supply, affecting the

Dialysis Machine. However Dialysis Patient needs to go through their

routine 1,3,5 or 2,4,6 days if washing their blood using this Machine.

Without will caused their body bloated , difficulty in breathing as water

consumed in might flood their lung.
